There are two reasons why I’ve decided to start writing a blog. The first is I hope it can be a database of information and things I’ve learned in my career so far. There can be a lot to learn from others successes ….. and failures, so my goal is to share some of my thoughts and experiences that go beyond the class room.
The second reason is more personal. I’d like to get better at writing on the internet, and what better way than to give it a go! I think I’ve got interesting topics to write about, and it should give me a chance to consolidate what I’ve learnt in my career so far. It’s easy to forget books I’ve read or things I’ve done, so this gives me (and you!) a chance to learn from them.
This blog is a personal project that I hope can share something useful - enjoy!

My Approach To Language Learning
This approach to language learning emphasizes consistency and immersion in daily life, focusing on practical communication skills rather than traditional textbook methods1. It incorporates both passive techniques, such as listening to audiobooks and watching TV shows in the target language, and active learning through apps like Duolingo and changing device settings1. The key principle is to make language exposure unavoidable, creating an environment where learning happens naturally and consistently, even around a busy schedule1. This method aims to make fluency attainable by integrating the language into everyday activities, making the learning process more engaging and effective.
