Safeguarding

We aim to give our clients complete trust in what we do, and the knowledge that all the correct procedures are in place. All children deserve a safe environment to learn, where they can feel comfortable to push outside their comfort zone without fear of judgement and we pride ourselves on our safeguarding policies at Beckett Tutoring.

Our policies

  • All Tutors have an Enhanced DBS check

  • All Tutors have completed the NSPCC ‘Child Protection for Tutors Course’

  • Appropriate Code of Conduct and Safeguarding Policy is put into place before lessons begin

What to expect?

Expect to be challenged. Our tutoring sessions are tough and require as much dedication from you as your tutor. Your brain has to work hard to learn, and solving problems and practice questions is the best way to prepare you for upcoming exams. This is why we focus on challenging you, and building your understanding of a subject over any memorisation techniques.

Online Tutoring

Our tutoring takes place online with Google Meet video calling and live Microsoft Whiteboard software. We have complete time and location freedom, meaning we are incredible flexible and will find a schedule that suits you.

FAQs

  • Our tutoring takes place online. We use video-call services and a live online whiteboard to post questions or content and observe your work.

  • Our tutors have a lot of flexibility. Generally we are available weekday evenings and weekends. We utilise an online google calendar booking system which is subject to your individual tutors availability.

  • We will always do our absolute best to rearrange your lesson. Up to 24 hours before your lesson rescheduling is entirely free. After 24 hours your tutor reserves the right to charge 50% of the lesson to cover the prep work, and a missed lesson without informing your tutor can be full price. Whether you are charged is down to your tutor, and if you are clear with us we are always happy to rearrange without any charge.

  • Our rates are:

    • £50/hour for A-level

    • £40/hour for GCSE

    • £200/hour for Group Seminars

Please contact us if you have any specific requests. We’re always happy to chat and find the right service for you.
